A Geminate subscription is flexible and saves you time and money compared to the lengthy process of hiring a good quality full-time designer.

‍More flexibility
‍A full-time designer is often hired with a 6 months or a 12 months contract. With us, you have no contract. You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time.

‍Faster
‍It’s hard to find high quality designers and it will probably cost you months to get them on board (from the first meeting up to signing the contract).

‍Cheaper
‍A full-time designer with the same high quality as we deliver roughly costs € 140k a year. With Geminate you get two designers (Senior/Director level) for less then € 114k a year.

We work as fast as we can to make sure the turnaround time stays as low as possible. You will receive small designs in roughly 2 business days and small motion projects in roughly 4 business days. Bigger projects will take more time. Some examples:

‍Design - One-pager design (small task)
‍You most likely will receive a one-pager UI design within two business days.

‍Design - Website (big task)
‍We split up the task in smaller tangible tasks and prioritise them for you. We start with UX and you will most likely receive UX wireframes and site structure within 2-3 business days. After that we will do some feedback rounds until you’re happy. Then we go on to the next task to design your website and create the UI on approved UX wireframes. In general, a small website can be delivered in a few weeks.

‍Motion - Social media video (small task)
‍You will receive a render of a social media video around 15 sec. within 4 business days.

‍Motion - Showreel (big task)
‍We split up the task in smaller tangible tasks and prioritise them for you. We start with storyboarding and align with you on the concept. It takes up to 4 business days to get everything we need with a good storyboard. After some feedback rounds and your approval on the storyboard, we start animating. A showreel of around 1 minute can be delivered to you within 4 business days. A showreel of 2-3 minutes takes a bit longer, but we will share our progress with you after 4 business days. In general, you will receive a showreel within a few weeks.

Yes. You are in full control of your own board and you can manage and reprioritise everything within our Trello workspace.

Whenever you decide to pause your subscription, you won’t be charged for the next month. You also stop having access to our services the moment you pause the subscription.

We work with full calendar months in terms of payments. An example: in December you’ve paid for the full month of January. If you pause your subscription on 14 January, you are still entitled to 17 more days in which you can request designs. We start working these remaining days for you when you unpause your subscription. Once the 17 days have passed you will be charged for a new full month.

We keep a strict policy for efficient meetings and here’s why: We understand the urgency and need to frequently meet from a client perspective. But every minute we spend in meetings, we can’t work on your designs and motion projects to get these delivered to you as fast as possible. That’s why we keep our meetings with you efficient, short and to the point. And we only have meetings when we deem this necessary, for example an onboarding meeting, a short kick-off meeting or alignment during a bigger project.

All meetings will be via Google Meets.

Our communication takes place via Trello and Slack.

Your Trello board has everything you need to reach out to us: Providing feedback, sharing files and leaving messages.

Every design task has a description and space to leave comments and feedback. We also have a Slack channel where you can communicate with us.

Martijn and Yasmine work on your requests. We are a design duo who work together to make sure you’re happy and satisfied with what you’ve requested.

We do have our own specialty and skills: Martijn mainly does UX tasks, supported by Yasmine. Yasmine mainly does UI tasks, supported by Martijn. We do Motion projects together.

We aim for a 100% satisfaction level. If you’re not happy with a deliverable, we will alter or redo it endlessly if needed until you are 100% happy.

Most of the things that you can think of within the UX/UI and Motion realm is covered within our skillset, except 3D modelling and 3D animation. If you have a request that is beyond our skillset, we will try and find a way to deliver it anyway. We have many connections and skillful friends with whom we can work together to satisfy your design needs.

You’ll get access to a Trello board on which you may place unlimited design requests.

We mainly use Figma for UX/UI design and Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere for motion. We also use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Audition to support our design/motion work.

We don’t refund monthly subscription fees. However, if you’re not happy with our service, you may cancel at any time. We’ll try to solve any problems and inconvenience whenever you are unsatisfied with our service.

1. You go through a check-out flow.
2. After check-out you receive a confirmation of your payment via email.
3. We book an onboarding call with you to get acquainted. You can also ask us any questions in this call.
4. You receive an invitation to your dedicated Trello board and our collaborative Slack channel.
5. Now you can create your design tasks, prioritise them and invite your team to the workspace.
6. When you add a design task to the slot “doing” we will pick it up right away!
